The BI Companion is a Silverlight solution that allows you to connect securely (AD integrated) to your cubes and browse them without having to learn any new skills. It can be integrated into any Silverlight container (Web Browser, SharePoint, or Silverlight Application) or can be used as a standalone Windows application.

After you enter your xmla exposed end point for your analysis server, the code connects to your analysis server and all communications are only between your browser and your analysis server. All data processing, rendering, drawing and presentation are performed on your local machine, thus server resources are preserved.
